DESCRIPTION
“This chazutsu (tea canister) is made from tin-plated steel and wrapped with navy blue washi paper decorated with white crane and Sakura motive. Featuring an airtight inner lid, this canister is perfect for keeping 150 grams of tea fresh. Note: the canister’s capacity may hold more or less, depending on the type of tea.
Founded in 1910, Kotodo (江東堂) has been producing handmade tea canisters for 113 years. Compared to machine-made canisters, their washi-wrapping is seamless, with no bumps where the lid meets the body, producing a clean silhouette. Additionally, the lid can be rotated counter-clockwise until it clicks, ensuring the pattern is perfectly aligned. “
