This “Tsubaki” special chasen is in Senke shape and has 70 tines. It comes with a white Tsubaki flower pendant and Tiffany blue color thread. Tsubaki (camellia) is native to Asia and blooms in the cold winter. Therefore, the Japanese regards Tsubaki as a symbol of love and endurance.

Hand-made by Yasaburo Tanimura, the 25th generation chasen maker who has carried on his family’s 500-year-old tradition. It is made from white bamboo that is dried for two years before being made into this delicate chasen.
