Hand-made by Yasaburo Tanimura, the 25th generation chasen maker who has carried on his family’s 500-year-old tradition. It is made from black bamboo that is dried for two years before being made into this delicate Chasen.

Araho chasen has around 48 wide tines, suitable for kneading the creamy Koicha (thick tea).
