Description
DESCRIPTION
Our popular deep steamed “Fukamushi” sencha is full bodied with umami, lightly roasted aroma, and a sweet aftertaste. Fukamushi is a technique of steaming tea leaves with a longer time, which helps bring out the sweetness and the deep green color of the tea. The deep steamed method also makes the tea leaves fragile when rolled and dried. Therefore, the leaves can be flaky and the tea liquid is more cloudy. Fukamushi method originated in Kikugawa, Shizuoka, right where our tea is from. Sencha is a popular everyday tea in the Japanese homes.
