DESCRIPTION

Gyokuro is one of the most expensive tea available in Japan. Gyokuro literrally means 玉露, “jade dew”, refering to its color and its delicate taste. Gyokuro is covered in shade for at least 20 days before harvest.

This Gyokuro is from Saemidori cultivar grown in Kagoshima, Kyushu. Saemidori gives high umami and mellow aroma. Gyokuro requires low temperature brewing of around 50-70 degree celcius to bring out the best umami taste.
